      About Pacifica

      The Pacifica Foundation, which invented the idea of listener sponsored non-commercial broadcasting, is the licensee for KPFA and KPFB in Berkeley, KPFK in Los Angeles, KPFT in Houston Texas, WBAI in NY, and WPFW in DC. It also includes the Pacifica Radio Archives, one of the premier repositories of recorded documentaries, public affairs, news and cultural programming in the US. It also  has The Pacifica Affiliates Network of hundreds of affiliated radio stations with which it shares content.
